The Great Loop

Let’s GOOOO!

Welcome to my journey, cruising the Great Loop aboard my little Camano Troll trawler. This blog is a place where I share the highs and lows of life on the water, whether it’s navigating new waters, discovering hidden gems along the coast, or simply embracing the freedom of living a nomadic life. Join me as I explore not only the beauty of the waterways, but also the joy of self-discovery, adventure, and the unexpected moments that make life richer. Whether you’re an aspiring traveler or just curious about life on the water, I hope you’ll find inspiration, insight, and maybe even a little wanderlust here.

The ‘Nati Nomad

Non-profit Partnership

I am fortunate for the opportunity to partner with Coral Reef Research Foundation in their mission to acquire the knowledge needed to understand and make intelligent decisions related to marine ecosystems, conservation, climate change, and resource management.

From the North American waterways to the salty seas that embrace the coral reefs of Palau, every drop of water is part of a single, continuous journey. As I travel the Great Loop aboard my trawler, I’m reminded that this shared cycle connects us all, making our partnership with the Coral Reef Research Foundation not just about distant oceans, but about protecting the same water that flows through our own backyards.

For every $10.00 I raise, $5.00 will be donated to support their mission and $5.00 will buy 1 gallon of diesel fuel (the equivalent of 2 nautical miles). Your donation helps fuel my trusty trawler while supporting a great cause.
