80s Road Trip!

One summer during high school, we took an 80’s-worthy 2-week road trip in our Buick Riviera from our home in Moores Hill, Indiana through the Western United States. Our route took us west through Illinois, Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma and Texas to the Four Corners of New Mexico, Colorado, Utah and Arizona. Next we traveled north to Idaho and Wyoming and then back toward home through South Dakota, Nebraska, Illinois and back to Indiana. Looking back at these pictures makes me think that mini-Colleen didn’t love travel as much as she does today. I guess we were all angsty teenagers once!

This was back in the day before we took 1000 pictures on vacation but here are a few vintage memories….

Stepping on the 4 corners of New Mexico, Utah, Colorado and Arizona with Mom. Then we drove through the Navajo Reservation in New Mexico.
